Federal Bank is a private sector bank, established on April 23, 1931 as Travancore Federal Bank Limited in Nedumpuram, near Thiruvalla in Central Travancore (now Kerala), India, with an authorized capital of ₹5,000. The bank was renamed The Federal Bank Limited on December 2, 1949 and became a scheduled commercial bank in 1970. Federal Bank is headquartered in Aluva, Kerala. Federal Bank offers its customers products and services in retail banking, corporate banking, NRI banking, agricultural banking, MSME lending, wealth management, treasury operations, trade finance, insurance products, investment services, remittance services, and digital banking platforms.
