Does Google Pay work with PayPal

Yes, Google Pay works with PayPal for online checkout and through PayPal-branded debit or credit cards, but direct PayPal account linking has been discontinued or restricted in most regions.

How PayPal can be used with Google Pay depends on whether the purchase is online or in a store, and on the country.

  • Online checkout: PayPal can be chosen as the payment method when paying through Google Pay on the Google Store and other supported Google services where the Google Pay or Google Wallet button appears.
