Does PayPal support UPI

Yes, PayPal supports UPI, but only for international checkouts through its PayPal World platform, not for domestic payments within India.

  • International checkouts: UPI can be chosen as the payment option when paying on overseas websites that accept PayPal.
  • Domestic payments: PayPal does not offer UPI for local payments inside India.
  • Xoom remittances: Xoom, PayPal's international money transfer service, lets senders abroad send money straight to a recipient's UPI ID in India. PayPal announced this UPI integration in December 2020 for NRIs and PIOs sending money home.
