Yes, Spotify accepts PayPal as a payment method for Premium plans, although availability depends on the region your Spotify account is set to.

A few account conditions decide whether a PayPal payment goes through for a Spotify subscription. If a payment fails, these are the first things to check.

  • Matching country: The country on your Spotify account has to be the same as the country registered on your PayPal account.
  • Verified account: Spotify requires the PayPal account used for the subscription to be verified.
  • Linked card or bank account: Because Premium is billed on a recurring basis, the wallet generally needs a valid credit card, debit card or verified bank account attached to fund each payment.

Spotify publishes an accepted payment methods page, and it lists wallet payments alongside options such as credit and debit cards for monthly recurring billing. Checking that page for your own country shows whether a PayPal wallet can be used there at all.
