Does Wise provide FIRC
Yes, Wise provides an e-FIRC (Foreign Inward Remittance Certificate) or FIRA (Foreign Inward Remittance Advice) for eligible Wise Business payments received into India.
A FIRC or FIRA is a document that proves a payment arrived in India from outside the country. How you get it from Wise depends on the type of transfer.
- Wise Business e-FIRC: Wise automatically emails the e-FIRC to your registered email address 2 to 3 days after an incoming payment is complete, and you can also download it from the transfer details on the Wise website.
- NOC for partner bank transfers: For some business INR transfers handled through partner banks, where no e-FIRC is generated automatically, Wise issues a No Objection Certificate (NOC) instead.
- Requesting from the partner bank: The NOC can be submitted to the partner bank that processed the payout, such as Yes Bank or HDFC Bank, to apply for the official advice or certificate.
- Fees: A small fee, around the equivalent of 2 USD per transaction, may apply for issuing the digital e-FIRC.
If you want to get FIRC certificate online for a Wise payment, first check the transfer details in your Wise Business account for the e-FIRC. If it is not there, download the NOC and contact the partner bank named for that transfer.
