How much Amazon charge from sellers

Amazon charges sellers in India referral fees, closing fees, shipping charges, and 18 percent GST on all service fees.

  • Referral Fee: This is a percentage of the selling price, usually between 5 percent and 17 percent depending on the product category. Some low-priced items, especially under ₹1,000, may have reduced or zero referral fees.
  • Closing Fee: A fixed fee per item sold, based on the final selling price tier, typically ranging from about ₹5 to ₹40 or more.
  • Shipping Charges: Fees depend on the delivery zone and product weight, varying for local, regional, or national deliveries.
  • GST: An 18 percent Goods and Services Tax is applied to the total of all Amazon fees.
  • FBA Fulfillment Fees: If you use Fulfillment by Amazon, additional storage and handling charges apply.

Amazon does not charge a monthly subscription or listing fee for standard seller accounts.
