How much does Payoneer charge for $100
Payoneer's charge on $100 is roughly $2 at the low end and can reach $8.48, depending on how the payment is received and which currency you withdraw it in.
Payoneer fees come in two layers: a fee for receiving money into your balance and a fee for withdrawing it to a bank account. An inactivity fee can also apply.
Receiving fees on a $100 payment vary by source:
- Another Payoneer balance: Receiving from another Payoneer customer is free.
- Freelance marketplaces: Payments from platforms such as Upwork or Fiverr arrive in your balance free, although the marketplace may take its own payout fee.
- ACH bank debit: US client payments by ACH cost 1%, which comes to $1.00 on $100.
- Local bank transfer: Payments from EU or UK clients through local transfer also carry a 1% fee, or $1.00.
- Credit card: Invoices paid by card cost up to 3.99% plus $0.49, or up to $4.48.
- PayPal (US only): Payments received via PayPal carry the same up to 3.99% plus $0.49 rate.
For payments below $100 arriving through non-local currency receiving accounts, Payoneer applies a minimum flat fee of $1.00.
Withdrawal fees depend on your bank account's currency:
- Different currency: Withdrawing USD to an INR, PHP or EUR account has no flat fee, but Payoneer applies a conversion markup of up to 2%, so up to $2.00 on $100.
- Same currency: Withdrawing USD to a USD bank account costs a $4.00 flat fee for withdrawals under $400, while withdrawals of $400 and above cost $1.50.
Putting these together, a $100 Upwork payment withdrawn to a local-currency bank account costs about $2.00 in FX markup, leaving around $98. A $100 invoice paid by credit card and then withdrawn to a USD bank account costs $8.48 in total, leaving $91.52.
When reviewing Payoneer pricing, also keep in mind the $29.95 annual inactivity fee, charged if an account has no transactions for 12 months in a row. To estimate your own cost, check how your client pays and which currency your bank account holds.
