A Payoneer virtual card is free to order, but an annual card fee of $29.95 USD can apply to accounts with low activity, and some card transactions carry fees.
The card itself costs nothing to issue, and additional virtual cards can also be ordered at no charge. The costs come from holding the card on a low-activity account and from how you use it.
- Issuance: Ordering a first or additional Payoneer virtual card is free.
- Annual card fee: Payoneer lists $29.95 per year for the card when account activity is low, with equivalent amounts of about €24.95 or £24.95 for cards in those currencies.
- Eligibility: You generally need to have received at least $100 USD into your Payoneer account over the previous 6 months before you can order a card.
- Account activity: A separate annual account fee is waived if you receive more than roughly $2,000 to $6,000 per year, with the threshold depending on your region.
Spending with the card adds its own charges, and Payoneer pricing sets these by transaction type.
- Purchases in the card's currency: Free in most cases, but up to 1.8% can apply when the merchant is in a different country from the one where the card was issued.
- Purchases with currency conversion: Up to 3.5% of the transaction.
- Cross-border transactions: Up to 1.8%.
