How to add PayPal payment method

To add a payment method in PayPal, link a bank account, debit card or credit card to your PayPal Wallet using either the PayPal app or the PayPal website.

Both routes ask you to enter or confirm your financial details and then follow PayPal's prompts to verify them.

1. Open the app: Launch the PayPal app and tap the Me tab, or go to Accounts or Wallet.
2. Start adding: Choose Add Banks and Cards, or tap the plus (+) icon.
3. Pick the type: Select Bank account or Debit or credit card.
4. Enter details: Type in the card or bank information, or scan your card with the phone camera.
5. Verify: Complete the on-screen instructions to confirm the information.

On a computer, the process runs through the Wallet page of your PayPal account.

1. Log in: Sign in to your account on the official PayPal website.
2. Open Wallet: Click Wallet at the top of the page.
3. Choose a link option: Click Link a card or Link a bank account, or use the + link.
4. Add information: Enter the financial details along with your billing address.
5. Finish: Click Link Card or Link Bank to save the payment method.
