How to create PayPal id
To create a PayPal ID, go to PayPal's account selection page or download the official PayPal app, click Sign Up, choose a Personal or Business account and enter your details.
- Personal account: Suited to shopping online, sending money to family or splitting bills with others.
- Business account: Suited to freelancers, merchants and companies that accept payments from customers.
- Open sign up: Visit the official PayPal website or open the mobile app and click Sign Up.
- Pick the account type: Select Personal or Business, then click Get Started.
- Add contact details: Enter an active email address and your mobile phone number.
- Verify your phone: Type in the one-time code (OTP) that PayPal sends to your phone by SMS.
- Set a password: Create a strong password that mixes letters, numbers and symbols.
- Enter personal information: Provide your legal name, date of birth and home address exactly as they appear on your government-issued ID.
- Finish the account: Accept the user agreement and privacy statement, then click Agree and Create Account.
