How to order Wise card
To order a Wise card, create and verify a Wise account, open the Cards tab on the website or mobile app, and request a new card.
- Set up your account: Register on the Wise website or app, confirm your phone number with an SMS code, and complete identity checks using a valid ID document.
- Open the Cards tab: From your account dashboard, go to the Cards section, where Wise shows the option to order a card.
- Add your details: Enter the address where the card should be posted, choose how your name will be printed, and create a 4-digit PIN.
- Pay the fee or add money: Depending on where you live, Wise may ask for a one-time card order fee or a top-up to your balance. On its official pages, the fee is shown as $9 in the US and £7 in the UK.
After the order goes through, a digital card is ready straight away for online purchases. The physical card usually reaches you in 7 to 10 business days.
The card can be used in more than 40 currencies across 150 countries and territories, according to Wise. Through the app you can freeze and unfreeze the card instantly, create digital cards and receive notifications about card activity.
