How to use Payoneer
To use Payoneer, sign up for an individual or business account, verify your identity, link a local bank account, then receive, send or withdraw funds.
You can register through the Payoneer website or app, including the Payoneer India site. The steps below cover setup.
- Sign up: Click Sign Up on the website or app and pick an individual or business account.
- Add personal details: Enter your name, address, contact information and date of birth.
- Verify your identity: Upload a government-issued ID, such as a passport or driving licence.
- Link your bank: Add your local bank account details so you can withdraw money later. Approval usually takes 2 to 3 business days.
Once approved, there are several ways to get paid into your account:
- Receiving accounts: Request virtual receiving accounts in currencies such as USD, EUR or GBP and share those bank details with overseas clients or freelance platforms like Upwork and Fiverr.
- Payment requests: Send digital invoices or payment requests straight to international clients.
- Marketplace connection: Link your account to global marketplaces so your earnings move directly into Payoneer.
To move money out of your balance, you can use these options:
- Make a payment: Sign in, go to Pay, then Make a Payment, enter the recipient's email and choose the amount and currency.
- Withdraw to your bank: Start a transfer from your Payoneer balance to your linked local bank account.
- Payoneer card: Spend your balance online or take out cash with a Payoneer Mastercard.
Before you start receiving money, review the Payoneer pricing for your country so you know what applies to withdrawals and payments, then choose the receiving method that suits how your clients or marketplaces pay you.
