How to withdraw from Wise

You can withdraw from Wise by sending money from your Wise balance to an external bank account, or by taking cash out at an ATM with your Wise card.

Wise has no standard withdraw button. Moving money out of a Wise balance to a bank account is done with the Send feature, the same one used for regular transfers, a point worth knowing alongside any Wise overview of how balances work.

To withdraw from Wise to a bank account, follow these steps:

1. Log in: Open the Wise website or the Wise mobile app and sign in.
2. Pick a balance: From Home, tap the currency balance you want to withdraw from.
3. Tap Send: Select Send on that currency balance.
4. Enter the amount: Type how much you want to move out of your Wise balance.
5. Add the recipient: Choose Add a recipient, then Bank details, and select Myself if the money is going to your own bank account, or choose a bank account you have already saved.
6. Confirm: Enter your bank account details, review the transfer information and confirm.

To withdraw cash from Wise, you need the physical Wise debit card, which works at compatible ATMs around the world that accept international cards:

1. Insert the card: Put your Wise card into the ATM and enter your PIN.
2. Choose the amount: Select how much cash you want to take out.
3. Pick the local currency: Select the local currency when the ATM offers a choice, and decline the ATM's own currency conversion to avoid extra fees.
