How to create PayPal email
You create a PayPal email by signing up for a PayPal account with an email address you already use, such as Gmail or Outlook. PayPal does not provide a separate email inbox.
The address you register becomes your PayPal ID. Registration takes a few steps on the PayPal website:
- Visit PayPal: Open the official PayPal website in your browser.
- Click Sign Up: Select the Sign Up button, found in the top right corner of the page.
- Choose an account type: Pick a Personal account for shopping and sending money to friends, or a Business account for selling goods and services.
- Enter your email: Type the active email address you want as your PayPal ID and continue.
- Set a password: Create a password of 8 to 20 characters that mixes letters, numbers or symbols.
- Add your details: Enter your legal name, mobile number and address exactly as they appear on your official ID documents.
- Verify your email: Open your inbox and use the code or confirmation link PayPal sends to finish registration.
Use an active email address you can access, because PayPal sends a verification code or link there to complete sign-up. If you do not have one yet, set up an inbox with a regular email provider first, then return to the PayPal sign-up page.
Eligibility rules apply to individual accounts. For example, PayPal's US help page states that individuals signing up there must be residents of the United States.
