How to make payment from PayPal

To make a payment from PayPal, log in to the PayPal app or website, open Send and Request, enter the recipient and amount, pick a payment method, then send.

You can pay a person directly or use PayPal at an online store's checkout. To send money to someone:

1. Log in: Open the PayPal app or website and go to Send and Request.
2. Enter the recipient: Type the person's name, username, email address or phone number, then select Next.
3. Add the amount: Enter how much you want to pay and choose the currency.
4. Choose the payment type: Mark it as Goods and Services or Friends and Family, where that option is shown.
5. Select a funding source: Pick your PayPal balance, a linked bank account, or a credit or debit card.
6. Review and send: Check the details, then select Send Payment Now.

You do not need money in your PayPal balance to send a payment. PayPal lets you pay directly from a linked credit card or debit card instead. You can also pay someone through their PayPal.Me link.

To pay for an online purchase:

1. Select PayPal: Click the PayPal button on the merchant's checkout page.
2. Sign in: Log in with your PayPal email address and password.
3. Confirm: Choose your funding source in the pop-up window and complete the purchase.
