How to get paid using PayPal
To get paid using PayPal, open a PayPal account, confirm your email address, then share your registered email or mobile number, send a payment request, or share a PayPal.Me link.
PayPal pays money into your account when someone sends it to the email address or mobile number registered with PayPal, and it notifies you once that happens. A general PayPal overview shows that both personal and business accounts can receive payments.
- Open an account: Sign up for a personal or business PayPal account.
- Confirm your email: Verify the email address on your account.
- Link a bank account or card: Connect a bank account or card to your PayPal account.
Once the account is set up, you can receive money in a few ways.
- Share your details: Give the payer the email address or mobile number linked to your PayPal account so they can send money to it.
- Request money: In the app or on PayPal.com, choose Request, pick a contact or type their name, email or phone number, enter the amount, and tap Request Now. You can also add a note about what the payment is for and choose the currency.
