How to install PayPal app
To install the PayPal app, search for PayPal in the App Store on an iPhone or iPad, or in the Google Play Store on Android, and install the official app from PayPal Mobile.
PayPal's own help page also gives a direct route: go to www.paypal.com/mobile, tap Get the PayPal App, select the phone you have and tap Download. Anyone new to the service may want to read a PayPal overview before creating an account in the app.
On an iPhone or iPad, follow these steps.
- Open the App Store: Launch the App Store on your device.
- Search for the app: Tap the Search icon and type PayPal.
- Check the developer: Choose the official PayPal app listed by PayPal Mobile.
- Download: Tap Get or the cloud download icon.
- Confirm: Approve the download with your passcode, Touch ID or Face ID.
On an Android phone, follow these steps.
- Open Google Play: Launch the Google Play Store.
- Search for the app: Type PayPal in the search bar.
- Check the developer: Pick the official app listed by PayPal Mobile.
- Install: Tap Install and wait for the download to finish.
- Launch: Tap Open to start the app.
