How to make PayPal acc
To make a PayPal account, go to the sign-up page on PayPal's website or open the PayPal mobile app, choose Personal or Business, and enter your details.
The first decision is which account type to create:
- Personal account: Suited to shopping online, sending money to family and splitting bills.
- Business account: Suited to freelancers, merchants and companies that accept payments from customers.
Anyone who wants a quick PayPal overview before signing up can use these two types as the starting point, since the rest of the process is similar for both. In India, a personal account needs a valid phone number and email address.
- Start sign-up: Visit PayPal's official website or open the app and tap Sign Up.
- Pick the account type: Select Personal or Business, then click Get Started.
- Add contact details: Enter an active email address and your mobile phone number.
- Verify your phone: Type in the one-time code PayPal sends to your phone by SMS.
- Set a password: Create a strong password that mixes letters, numbers and symbols.
- Enter personal details: Give your legal name, date of birth and home address exactly as they appear on your government-issued ID.
- Accept the terms: Agree to the user agreement and privacy statement, then click Agree and Create Account.
After the account is created, a few follow-up tasks make it ready to use:
- Link a payment method: Add a debit card, credit card or bank account so you can send and receive money. This can be skipped at sign-up and done later from the dashboard.
- Confirm your email: Open the confirmation link PayPal sends to your inbox to verify the address and remove the initial limits on transactions.
