How to use PayPal in Amazon

To use PayPal in Amazon, add a PayPal Debit Card as a payment method or buy an Amazon gift card with PayPal, because Amazon does not accept PayPal directly at checkout.

Both routes let you spend PayPal funds on Amazon purchases. Checking your balance in the PayPal overview first shows whether there is enough to cover the order.

Using a PayPal Debit Card:

1. Get the card: Apply through your PayPal account for a physical or digital PayPal Debit Card.
2. Open Your Payments: Sign in to Amazon and go to Your Payments.
3. Add the card: Click Add a payment method and enter the 16-digit card number, expiry date and CVV.
4. Pay at checkout: Select the card when ordering, and the purchase is paid from your PayPal balance.

Using an Amazon gift card bought with PayPal:

1. Find a seller: Choose a trusted online retailer that accepts PayPal and sells official Amazon gift cards, such as Dundle.
2. Buy the gift card: Select PayPal as the payment method when you check out.
3. Copy the code: The digital gift card code arrives by email.
4. Redeem on Amazon: Add the code to your Amazon account balance and use that balance for purchases.
