TL;DR

  • What is the Axis Bank Trade Portal and what does it do for exporters? TF Connect is Axis Bank's digital trade finance facility, accessed through Corporate Internet Banking, for initiating, authorising and amending trade transactions and accessing transaction advice and SWIFT copies online.
  • What are the key features of the Axis Bank Trade Portal? TF Connect supports import and export trade requests, LC and BG services, bulk upload and approval, credit-limit information, online debit advice and SWIFT copies, and mobile transaction authorisation.
  • What does it cost to use Axis Bank for export transactions through the Axis Bank Trade Portal, and what charges are involved? Axis Bank says TF Connect has no service charges. Underlying inward remittances, export-bill handling, conversion and foreign-bank services can carry charges, plus applicable taxes. Confirm the current tariff and your customer-specific pricing.
  • Where does the Axis Bank Trade Portal fall short, and what is the faster alternative? Compare the payment route, total charges, exchange rate and document process before choosing a service. Skydo offers published transaction fees, zero FX markup and payment tracking, but its settlement timing remains subject to screening, the currency corridor and banks in the payment chain.

What Is the Axis Bank Trade Portal?

TF Connect is Axis Bank's digital trade finance facility. Businesses access it through Corporate Internet Banking to initiate, authorise and amend supported import and export transactions online.

It supports import and export bills under Letters of Credit (LCs) and collection, LC issuance and amendments, Bank Guarantee (BG) services and other trade requests. Users can view credit-limit information and access available transaction advice and SWIFT copies online. Axis also offers eligible paperless EDPMS regularisation and software-export record management.

For example, an eligible Pune-based exporter can initiate an export-bill request, track its status and access available transaction documents online, subject to the bank's requirements and approval process.

Who Can Use Axis Bank Trade Portal?

TF Connect is intended for Axis Bank's business customers with the relevant Corporate Internet Banking and trade-service access approved by the bank. Access is subject to Axis Bank's eligibility policy.

  • Eligible applicants include exporters, importers and other businesses seeking the supported trade services, subject to the bank's approval and the requirements of each product.
  • Retail internet banking access alone does not provide TF Connect access. Ask Axis Bank to confirm the account, user rights and trade services available to your business.
  • Businesses request activation through Axis Bank using the applicable application and authorisation documents. Existing CIB customers can request TF Connect as an additional service.

How to Log In to Axis Bank TF Connect

Access TF Connect through Axis Bank's Corporate Internet Banking. Log in using your Corporate ID, Login ID and password, complete the bank's required authentication and open the trade services enabled for your business.

  1. Start from Axis Bank's official website and select Corporate Internet Banking, then open the trade services enabled for your business.
  2. Enter your Corporate ID, Login ID and login password.
  3. Complete the required Netsecure or other bank-provided second-factor authentication.
  4. Open the trade services enabled for your business and user role.

New CIB users receive their Corporate ID and Login ID by SMS after the bank processes the request. Use Set/Reset Password to generate a password with your registered contact details; a Green PIN-generated password can be used immediately.

How to Register for Axis Bank TF Connect

Request TF Connect activation through your Axis Bank branch or relationship manager. The bank reviews your application, authority documents and user permissions. Requirements for credit facilities depend on the trade product you want to use.

  1. Ask your Axis Bank branch or RM for the application and the documents required for your business constitution.
  2. Submit the completed application, user authorisation matrix and applicable board resolution, authority letter or indemnities.
  3. After approval, Axis Bank enables the requested access. New CIB users receive Corporate ID and Login ID details and can generate their password online.
  4. Specify each user's role and the approval workflow, such as an Enterer who initiates requests and an Approver who authorises them.

Follow the user roles and authorisation matrix approved for your business. Your bank-enabled workflow determines who can initiate and approve each request.

Key Features of Axis Bank Trade Portal

TF Connect supports online import and export transactions, LC and BG services, bulk upload and approval, credit-limit information, online debit advice and SWIFT copies, and mobile transaction authorisation.

  • Online import and export transactions: Initiate supported import and export bills under LC or collection, outward remittances and other trade requests digitally.
  • Letter of Credit and Bank Guarantee services: Request LC issuance or amendment and BG issuance, and view available transaction and limit information. An export LC received from a buyer is different from an LC your business asks Axis Bank to issue.
  • Bulk transaction uploads and approvals: The portal supports bulk upload of trade transactions, which is useful for businesses processing multiple shipments or invoices in a single cycle.
  • Trade finance limit tracking: View sanctioned, utilised and available limits across different credit lines.
  • Debit advice and SWIFT copy access: Access available debit advice and SWIFT copies online for the relevant transaction. Confirm with Axis Bank which documents are available for your inward receipt.
  • Mobile transaction authorization: Checkers can authorize transactions on mobile, so approvals aren't blocked when the signatory is not at their desk.

⚠️ COMMON MISCONCEPTION

TF Connect is not retail internet banking or Axis Direct. Axis Bank directs users to access the facility through Corporate Internet Banking using their Corporate ID and User ID.

How to Use Axis Bank TF Connect for Export Transactions

To submit an export request, open the applicable trade service in CIB/TF Connect, enter the requested bill and buyer details, provide the supporting documents and submit under your bank-approved authorisation workflow. Axis Bank then processes the request, subject to its checks.

  1. Log in to CIB and open the TF Connect trade services enabled for your business.
  2. Choose the applicable export-bill service and enter the requested invoice, currency, amount and buyer details.
  3. Provide the documents required for that transaction, such as the invoice and applicable goods-shipment or service-export records. Confirm whether originals are also required.
  4. Submit the request through the approval workflow configured for your business.
  5. After the required authorisation, Axis Bank's trade team processes the request, subject to documentation and compliance checks.
  6. Track the request and obtain the transaction advice and SWIFT copies available for it. Confirm receipt of payment using your account statement or credit advice.

For export bills under an LC, follow the LC's documentary terms and Axis Bank's instructions. Do not assume the document requirements are identical to a non-LC export collection.

Where maker-checker is configured, the checker must authorise the request before it reaches the bank. Allow time for your approved authorisation workflow.

How to Track Export Payments and Trade Transactions

Use the relevant TF Connect dashboard to check submitted trade requests. Axis advertises real-time updates, and its separate Neo Online Inward Remittance service offers end-to-end transaction tracking. Confirm the tracking detail and downloadable documents available for your particular payment.

  • Status view: The transactions dashboard shows the status of your submitted export bills and outward remittances.
  • SWIFT copies: Access copies available for the relevant transaction. For an incoming payment, ask Axis Bank which SWIFT or remittance records are available and when.
  • Transaction advice: Download the advice available for the transaction and use it for internal reconciliation. Confirm an incoming credit against the account statement or credit advice, not a debit advice.
  • In-transit tracking: Axis advertises tracking through its digital services. Ask which tracking details your account provides; a trade-request status is not the same as confirmation that funds have reached your account.
  • Bulk upload: If you manage multiple shipments, the bulk upload feature helps you view and process multiple transactions together instead of one by one.

⚠️ COMMON MISCONCEPTION

A processed trade request does not by itself confirm that an incoming payment has credited your account. Check your account statement or credit advice.

Axis Bank Paperless Exports: EDPMS Regularisation

EDPMS is RBI's Export Data Processing and Monitoring System for export records and proceeds. Axis Bank's paperless regularisation route lets select eligible exporters submit the required data digitally instead of physical papers at a branch. Axis lists status-holder exporters and/or SEZ units, subject to its internal fitment criteria.

Eligible users navigate to the EDPMS module through TF Connect, upload the specified-format file, accept the declarations and send the records for checker approval. The bank reconciles the receipt against the relevant export records.

Check that shipping-bill, IEC, invoice and payment details agree across the records you submit and the bank's records. Resolve mismatches with Axis Bank.

Follow up on unpaid exports and unresolved EDPMS entries. Under the current RBI rules, the authorised dealer must close or update the relevant EDPMS entry alongside the eligible credit after satisfying itself that the transaction is genuine. A portal upload alone is not proof of closure.

How to Manage Software Export Compliance Through e-Softex

Axis Bank's e-Softex is its digital platform for managing software-export records. It supports invoice uploads, ERP-format mapping, STPI/SEZ-format application downloads, lodgement, realisation and invoice-to-remittance mapping. Axis makes it available to TF Connect users without additional documentation to enable the facility.

From 1 October 2026, RBI's export/import regulations use the Export Declaration Form (EDF) for service exports, including software. For software exports in the Domestic Tariff Area, the specified authority may be an authorised dealer or STPI; in an SEZ, it is the Development Commissioner. Confirm the applicable route and documents with your bank.

Bank-side invoice and receipt management is distinct from declaration authentication or STPI/SEZ certification where applicable. Current rules allow monthly EDF reporting within 30 days after the invoice month; an authorised dealer may extend the filing period on a justified request. Follow the rules applicable to the transaction date for older exports.

For export-benefit documentation, eBRC means electronic Bank Realisation Certificate. Under DGFT's enhanced system, exporters self-certify eBRCs using bank-transmitted inward remittance messages and the relevant export records. This is separate from the bank's EDPMS reconciliation.

Common Axis Bank Trade Portal Login Issues and Solutions

Common access issues include forgotten passwords, locked IDs, missing authentication messages and incomplete user activation. Use the recovery options on Axis Bank's CIB login page where available, and contact the bank if recovery fails or access has not been enabled.

  • Forgotten password: Choose Set/Reset Password on the CIB login page. Enter your Corporate ID, Login ID, registered mobile number and email address. Open the emailed link, set the required password and authenticate with the OTP. Axis says the email link is valid for 30 minutes.
  • Locked ID: Axis Bank's CIB page lists Unlock ID under Trouble logging in? Use that option where available. If self-service recovery fails or the bank has deactivated your access, contact your branch or RM.
  • OTP not received: Check the registered mobile number and network connection. Confirm that you are using the authentication method enabled for your user. Contact Axis Bank if the message still does not arrive or your registered details need updating.
  • Portal not loading or session error: Restart from Axis Bank's official website rather than a saved session link. Clear temporary browser files and sign in again. If the issue continues, contact CIB support with the error details.
  • User ID not found: Check both Corporate ID and Login ID. Axis Bank's CIB page lists Get your Login details under Trouble logging in? For a new or modified user, ask the branch or RM to confirm activation and account mapping.

Axis Bank TF Connect: Eligibility, Documents and Charges

TF Connect access depends on Axis Bank's approval of the business, account and user permissions. The facility has no service charges, but export-payment costs depend on the inward-remittance route, export-bill service, conversion terms and correspondent bank charges. Ask for the applicable written tariff and customer-specific pricing to compare the total cost.

Eligibility

Businesses need the relevant CIB and trade-service access, subject to Axis Bank's approval. Confirm the account and product requirements with your branch; credit facilities have their own sanction requirements.

Documents Required

For registration, ask your branch which documents apply to your business. Axis lists:

  • Board resolution or other constitution-specific authority documents, plus applicable indemnities
  • KYC documents for users where required by the bank
  • User details and authorisation matrix, including roles, limits and approval workflow
  • Completed CIB/TF Connect application and applicable terms and conditions

For each export transaction, confirm the applicable documents with the bank, which may include:

  • Commercial invoice and contract or purchase order, as applicable
  • Packing list and transport documents for goods, where applicable
  • Shipping bill (for goods exporters)
  • EDF or other declaration and software/service records applicable to the transaction date and filing route
  • Buyer-payment or remittance details and any additional LC-specific or purpose-related documents requested by the bank

Charges

  • Inward-remittance fees: Confirm the fee applicable to your incoming foreign-currency payment, including an export advance, plus applicable taxes. Receiving a payment is different from sending an outward SWIFT message.
  • Export-bill and foreign-bank charges: Bill collection or handling against an advance may have separate fees. Courier and foreign-bank charges may also apply; confirm which apply to your transaction.
  • Forex conversion: Confirm Axis Bank's offered exchange rate before conversion and compare the final INR proceeds after all charges. Axis's inward-remittance page allows customers to book an exchange rate online.
  • Portal access: Axis Bank says there are no service charges to avail TF Connect. Charges for underlying trade transactions still apply.
Expert advice

Ask for a written breakdown of inward-remittance fees, export-bill handling, applicable taxes, conversion terms and foreign-bank charges. The published tariff may differ from your customer-specific pricing.
